Here is my life in a nutshell: I was a teacher for 24 years, but I resigned this spring. I’m still trying to figure out what my next chapter will be. My husband and I live on an old farm with our 2 sons, ages 10 & 15, along with 2 dogs, 9 cats, 25 chickens, and a bearded dragon.
In my spare time I love being outdoors. I enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking. My favorite animal is a moose.
I also have a very quirky, goofy sense of humor (at least I think I’m funny.) 🤷🏻♀️
I haven’t traveled very much except within the United States. When I was a little girl, my family lived in North Dakota so we sometimes went shopping or to the zoo in Canada.
I enjoy creating my own style of art. I also enjoy photography as well.
I know it sounds cliché, but I suppose my proudest accomplishments are my two sons, ages 10 & 15.
I have always had a fascination with Australia and more recently, New Zealand. I would also like to know more about Germany as my ancestors came from that country.
I don’t know that I am an export at anything, to be honest. Creating art and photography come naturally, but I would consider myself an “expert” as I have had very little training in either.
At this time I am facing a personal challenge. I have been a teacher for 24 years, but I resigned at the end of the school year. I have been looking for a job for months but haven’t found anything suitable yet.
Daisy Prescott, Nickolas Sparks…
I think I would want to live in New Zealand and learn about the Māori culture.
I enjoy talking about animals and funny experiences or memories.
I’m just really getting tired of everyone getting offended by everyone else. Everyone should have a right to speak his/her opinion without being attacked by another person that has a different point of view. What happened to calmly and respectfully discussing topics? You can learn so much from another person’s point of view.
Oh, man….where do I start?! The first think that comes to mind is growing up in the mountains of Montana and catching every bug and critter I could find. I’d go wading in the Clark Fork River and catch crawdads with a butterfly net. I also had different turtles throughout my childhood as well.
I recently learned that foxes have a scent gland at the base of their tail that gives off a musky odor. They use this gland for scent marking and when they are startled.
Ten years from now my loud, chaotic house will be too quiet again and everything will stay where it belongs.
Honestly, not much excites me right now. I’m basically at a stalemate in my life. I’m trying to reinvent myself again after a long depression.
Once again…where to start?!
•I like the smell of skunk
•I have a pet bearded dragon
• I am double jointed in some of my fingers, I never developed eye teeth, and I have extra segments in my tailbone
It was better when kids just played outside for hours and didn’t come home until dark. It was better when everyone in the family ate at the table. It was better when my siblings used to play pranks on each other.
I often look back at old pictures of me when I was in my 20’s. I had beautiful teeth and I was much thinner and more carefree. However, I lacked so much wisdom and experience back then. I’m not sure that I would want to go back to that time when I didn’t understand the world back then.
