  People laugh when I mention I have been married four times and then they laugh even more if I tell them I was married to an Australian, a Lebanese girl, a Cuban girl and a Chinese girl. Thats how much I like different cultures. A Lot.

  I travelled a lot in my Business career. I was based in Hawaii for ten years and I travelled the Pacific Rim a lot, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan etc. I liked it but after years and years in Airports you get awfully sick of Business Travel. I retired to Florida, since Hawaii is too expensive. Summers in Florida are awful, it' so humid and hot so we sped a lot of time in North Carolina up in the Mountains at 3000 feet or so where its very nice.

  Well, i worked for a large Company manufacturing Building supplies for 26 years. Then i started my own business consulting on Roofing and general Moisture Proofing of buildings. It grew to be very successful , I continued with it until i was 75, at that point i sold the Company to one of my five employees, it was very rewarding after being unhappy for the last five years of my 26 year stint with a poor company who after i left, failed completely. Not just because of me but poor management generally.

  My career was always connected to Moisture Engineering. Modern Architecture is reliant upon innovative but proven principles of handling water.

  I was the Chairman of the Metric Conversion Board in Papua New Guinea in about 1966, We had to come up with Building Material conversions for a large number of Construction Materials and Building Processes. It was a complex effort.

  Hawaii, i loved Hawaii, I had a sailboat, we went to the islands quite often, I should have stayed there, but i left when i was 50, and still afflicted by the travel bug. I could have started a business, and I think i would have become more successful. Besides moving to the Mainland was a bad move from the job satisfaction angle. But it is hard to evaluate these things when you are judging from afar. My Boss was a asshole.

  Sailing, Motor Racing, Management styles, my daughters, one of whom is almost a tycoon, my brilliant wife who is Chinese. the dogs, I have two Labrador mixes, well one of them we are not too sure about but she is lovely and smart as a whip. Cars, i like cars, a Porsche is a thing of wonder but you need to be well heeled to afford the maintenance, so i currently own a Corvette. Intermediate shaft bearings scare me to death.

  We need to do something concrete about Global warming, its a huge subject but essential reading, I do think unless we make timely defined objectives in the next ten years we are in trouble. our Seas and Oceans are full of damn plastic, we can never correct that, but we need to try. For the rest of it I despair at the political desires of the ruling class, its mankind i guess , never happy. never emough money.
